East And West (ver. 1)

Application project for Bezalel Academy.
I have decided to showcase in my piece under the category "East and West" the vast contrast between the East and West through the eyes of the East - represented by the Geisha, watching the development and advancement of the west, this contrast is created not only by the vibrant colors of the Geisha in comparison with the background, but also by the choice of different time stamps. The west values development over culture, and therefore it is monotonous and more or less similar in most parts of the world, while the East struggle to hold onto its culture while "catching up" with the west's development. The Geisha is exactly this in human form - a culture built upon years of history which now is almost "extinct" but still being held to dearly as hard as it may be in our age and time. It's the beautiful thing about the East that it still manages to keep all of the traditions and culture through technology advancement, while the west seems to have lost face to the future.
